FIve Steps
Link Studio considers Web sites as live “specimens” that have the potential to grow, evolve and interact. The importance of addressing these characteristics is evident in how the site will thrive. From the inception of the creative site concepts, the development and the launch, to the assessment of the site for possible enhancements, Link Studio is committed to finding and implementing the most effective and appropriate solutions. A brief description of each step provides a glimpse of how Link Studio ensures quality throughout the project.
1. Requirements Analysis
The importance of clearly defining the parameters is not only for understanding the problem or objectives but allows for a base for evaluation throughout the process of design and development.
At this stage the target audience, target platforms, user goals/needs, business goals, usability requirements and technical requirements are determined. Research and evaluation of the existing site, user surveys and interviews, competitive or similar sites/products are also reviewed.
2. Conceptual Design
During the conceptual design stage, the functionality of the site is explored and determined through the creation of the information architecture, page schematics and task flowcharts. Careful planning will prove to be worthwhile in the long run. Our approach is to consider all the possibilities. The union of functionality, instructive clarity, and dynamic aesthetics is our main design objective.
3. Creation
All the brainstorming and planning comes together in this creative design phase. Link Studio explores various concepts and translates them into design layouts. Animations and interactives are also storyboarded to demonstrate key frame.
4. Production
At this stage, our work comes to life. Attention to image quality, proper coding, page review to meet the Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (§ 1194.22) and the W3C checkpoints for Web content accessibility, search engine optimization, thorough testing are completed.
5. Delivery
At this point, all the hard work and testing is completed. The site is approved by the Client and a date of launch is agreed upon. But our work isn't quite done yet. Link Studio will provide a Web Style Guide to ensure proper maintenance of your site, staff training for CMS or any other maintenance issues, site analysis, and continual support.
